Question
Difficulties encountered in covering the course

Answer(s)
Just an observation. When I teach my girls to read and we are practicing a new word. I always tell them the correct answer first because if I let them guess and they guess wrong they actually have to re-learn that word, which more than doubles the level of difficulties for them. My job in teaching them is to make them successful, not catch them after each failure and set them right.

Maybe these things are not confusing to someone who is already knowledgeable, but I am just learning and I think it would have been immensely helpful to have understood before studying the first section on "classical theory" that there was more than one theory at all. As each section takes quite some time to study and study well, since the quizzes are certainly going to be challenging then I am going through a few days, during which time I am discussing what I learn with my family and I was so confused until I got to the forum boards and realized that this was not "THE" history of the Qur'an, just one theory. Perhaps a little introduction or something at the beginning could have saved me having to un-learn this. Then again, it is quite possible that I have just misunderstood or skipped something obvious to everyone else..these things do happen :) I am sincerely grateful for all the work that has gone into these courses and excited to continue on. I'm only mentioning because I was asked ;) Thank you again.
