Dear All, Although the subject is self-evident, but let me clarify what I am asking. Regardless, of whether having 'hope' in something or being hopeful is good or bad according to our religion or any other standards. I want to understand, what is hope, what is its function in our daily life and in our thought process, Is it justified and rational to be hopeful on certain things, when? and how much? Are there any limits on being hopeful, what is the nature and exent of these limits. If it is infact a useful psychological state, how is 'hope' acheived? Can this state be achieved by everybody, or by only certain kind of people? Please feel free to give your own thoughts or present other material on this... Thanks, Salman
