[purple]because it doesn't mean that we reject the whole treasure of hadith completely-yes we may because it is easy to do so-and it is a difficult job to sit and research into, for example all the riwayas(narrations of one hadith/saying of the prophet sws) re: one topic and then conclude the right message after judging all of them against the background of time, culture, environment,that particular situation; comparing with the commands given in Qur'an re: that issue and what we find in the regular practices that reached us from the prophet sws through generations(sunnah). [orange]if we aren't doing this ourselves, we could support and learn from the ones who are doing it-not because the source of Islam is in hadith, but because it constructively supports the source of Islam-if read after purging from the contamination which creeped in over the years. [/orange]
