In my humble opinion, let us be constructive in our critisicm. Not for the sake of of it. Ghamidhi, is a scholar and not free of mistakes. He has dedicated his life to serving the religion he believes in. I am sure that there are many who disagree with him. But let us discuss issues and support them with evidance. I have the utmost respect for Ghamidhi, but I will never state that I will blindly agree to anything or everything he says. We must seek and follow the path of Truth. For me that is the journey of life. One should be willing to respect and take knowledge where available. The problem most Muslims have is that for them, the fruit itself is not important they have to know whether it has come from the right tree also. So, for us , if we disagree with a person, we must ensure that every statement he has ever made, must be negated. The one we follow, we must defend, what ever the circumstances. fOR a true Muslim, Haq or Truth is the only way. We must not cetagorise Haq with sects and personalities. No schoalr can profess to be faultless.no one can be a prophet and messenger. Thus we must recognise that different people can say things and all of them can have some thing important to say which can be beneficial to us. The point I am trying to stress is that we should reject or accept a statement based on evidance and not by reading the name of the author. Ghamidhi stated that the there is only one door to enter the House of knowledge and you have to leave bias, jealousy and personal likes and dislikes at the doorstep to attain true understanding. I feel this is a very important issue for the Muslims of today.
