shah_625
I'll give the exact the references from Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 4 : Book 54 : Hadith 531 : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Narrated by 'Aisha: The Prophet said, "Five kinds of animals are mischief-doers and can be killed even in the Sanctuary: They are the rat the scorpion, the kite, the crow and the rabid dog." Volume 3 : Book 29 : Hadith 55 : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Narrated by Aisha: Allah's Apostle said, "Five kinds of animals are harmful and could be killed in the Haram (Sanctuary). These are: the crow, the kite, the scorpion, the mouse and the rabid dog." Volume 3 : Book 29 : Hadith 54 : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Narrated by Hafsa: Allah's Apostle said, "It is not sinful (of a Muhrim) to kill five kinds of animals, namely: the crow, the kite, the mouse, the scorpion and the rabid dog." It is clearly mentioned [hl]rabid dog[/hl] so in my opinion it is fair enough to deduce that rabies was present at the time of holy prophet(PBUH) and was spreading through dogs. Secondly if it was spreading through other mammals then I think they should have been mentioned. Even if you don't argree with the second point you surely can't deny that dogs were infected with rabies and were a threat to humans.
hitherto, you couldnot understand this time. Hence I ignore!
