shariah is quiet on the subject as mentioned above i.e. nothing is said directly about it but the eneral teachings of islam guide us in this regard. the one and only way to satisfy one's sexual desire, as prescribed by islam is marriage; if a situation arises where this is not happening, one is left between the options of illicit sexual activity or self satisfaction and looking at 'n comparing the results of each, including sexually tranmitted infections, unwanted and teeanage pregnancies, broken family relations from the former, common sense guides one that whilst the measures must be taken to make marriage easily available and possible, latter would be takn as minor evil in the given circumstances[/quote]
