[quote]Salaam, Thanks for sharing the article. But, i think there are few confusions which needs to be clarified. Don't you think that Religious Festivals should not be mixed with Cultural ones. Like EID and Christmas are religious but New Year, Valentine etc have nothing to to do with religion. Its just like celebrating 14th August or 23rd March in Pakistan. its again nothing to do with religion but still we Pakistanis ( Muslims and Non-Muslims all ) do celebrate these days. As non-muslims can and do celebrate CULTURAL events of the places where they live, i don't think there is any harm for muslims in celebrating any such event IF muslims don't cross the LIMITS clearly defined in the Quran and Sunnah. I am also against the festivals like Valentine's day but that is because of the WAY these days are celebrated. I don't think if I live in US or UK and I celebrate their Independance Day will cause any affect to my religion. I hope I am able to clarify my point.
