As we were discussing at our university halls at dinner, the knowledge of other religions only is not good enough. A smart and clever Muslim Scholar must appreciate this fact that in these times where the world has become a global village, they must intermingle with people of all faiths. Why do we see that our present times Muslim scholars are still scared of sitting in the meetings and talks with Jews for example. This hiding attitude by our scholars is to be blamed for many misunderstandings about Islam and Muslims perceived because of the muddled up cultural Islam visible everywhere and the incidents like 9/11 and 7/7. A few scholars who try to communicate with the scholars and common people of other religions are accused of 'being sold' in the hands of Jews. They are put under extreme pressure by their own peers to step back and remain confined to their wells just like the rest of them are. What is this mentality? Where is this coming from? A sincere and intellectual Muslim scholar never takes such pressures or acts cowardly and continues his sincere works for the pleasure of AllaH.
