[quote][red][b][font=Century Gothic] Salamz ^_^ i was recently asked this question on the radio *hehe i was on the radio doing a showwww!! :P* and the interviewer asked us the same question. when i said, "i dont think that the tv as an item is Haraam, it depends on what you use it for", he replied: "yes but TV can LEAD to a sin and all things that LEAD to a sin are also Haraam" [/red][black] ...but then again you could say the same thing about a pencil. you can use a pencil to write good things but you can also use it to write bad things - therefore a pencil can lead to a sin [/black] [red] however, in the Qura'An Allah tells us to not be disobedient and not do bad things, such as WRITE bad things, He does not tell us to NOT USE A PENCIL. [/red][black] its the same with the TV. Allah says in the Qura'An to refrain from acts which dissapoint Him and harm YOU spiritually. listening or waatching things on the tv that are bad IS Haraam *or a sin* but the actual TV is not. [/black][red] we simply need to be careful with what we watch and what we listen to ^_^ i hope that answered the question [/red][black] Wassaalam [/black][red] .xXx. Bas .xXx. [/red][/b][/font=Century Gothic] Rabbana takabbul minna innaka antasameeul aleem[/quote]
