Asalam Aalaikum, According to UI team, triple talaq is not valid but many muslim scholars hold this concept true but one should know whether this concept is established explicitly in the sources of Islam. Their are many wrong things that are going on in Islamic world for example, you must have heard about a person who recently claimed to be Imam Mehdi in Pakistan and the Ulemas of Pakistan raised their voice against him and passed a fatwa of death against him, unfortunately he was punished to death by Pakistan Government or by the Islamic Body. I donot understand on what basis have they passed a verdict(fatwa) of death against him? How is a person going against the Shariah if he is claiming himself to be an Imam Mehdi? If you remember their was another person who claimed to be an Imam Mehdi couple of years ago but no fatwa was passed against him. Why is it that suddenly the Islamic Community of Pakistan felt like passing a fatwa of death punishment against a person who claimed to be an Imam Mehdi inspite of knowing that a person who claimed to be an Imam Mehdi couple of years ago was left untouched? Is not this something strange that Imam Mehdi who was not a part of our beliefs has suddenly become an essential part of our belief that any one claiming to be an Imam Mehdi should be punished to death? If this is true, and if something that was never a part of our belief can suddenly became a part of our belief when situation changes then on what basis do Ulemas claim that Islam is perfect if Islam can still adopt certain changes to its beliefs? If a person claims to be a Prophet of God, then definitely he is going against the teachings of Islam because belief in Prophets of God is a fundamental part of Islamic Beliefs. What do you think?
