So far as reconciliation and keeping the marriage intact, no husband is in favor of beating her wife.

Why don’t the women concentrate on last part of the verse (Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them)? Are the women against beating or something like that because they are not willing to obey and do reconciliation?[/quote]
