[quote][red][b][font=Century Gothic] Salamz. that's truly thought provoking...[/red][pink] there is a lessson to be learnt here, and again we refer to that every famous hadith: your mother, your mother your mother...for those who havent heard it, it goes a little something like this: [/pink][red] a man came to the Prophet (saw) and said, " Oh my Prophet, my family all resides in my one house. my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunties all live under the same roof. can you please tell me in which order i am to serve them?" [/red][pink] the Prophet (saw) replied, almost instantly, "Your mother." the man thanked him and said, "Who next?" and, again, the Prophet said, "Your mother." [/pink][red] the man, thinking that the Prophet hadnt heard him, asked again: "And after her, oh Prophet?" Again, the Prophet (saw) said, "Your mother." the man looked at the Prophet (saw) and asked, "Yes, Prophet, who after my mother?" The Prophet (saw) smiled and said: "Your duty is first to your mother. And then to your mother. And again, to your mother. And then to your father."[/red][pink] so basically, your mother is the woman you should respect most. and of course, your father too. ^_^ there is another Hadith that goes like this:[/pink][red] a man came to the Prophet (saw) one day and said, "Oh Prophet! i have taken my mother to Hajj and the entire Hajj, i carried her on my shoulders. i suffered this pain for her, oh Prophet... have i fulfilled my duty to her?"[/pink][red] the Prophet (saw) replied, "you have not endured one minutes pain worth of the pain she suffered while giving birth to you...not only this, but you have yet to fulfil your duty to her."[/red][pink] Subhana'Allah...we should think twice about saying something to our moms before saying it! hehe ^_^ .xXx. Wasssalam! [/b][/font=Century Gothic][/pink] Edited by: xxbasxx on Saturday, August 20, 2005 11:24 PM[/quote]
