[orange][b] oh and please read tweety's reply that makes a lot of sense
I havent gone into much detail about dejaal myself, seeing as tho all the authentic ahadith just say one thing about 'him'- thats 'he' is a sign of hte day of judgement. all teh otehr hadith are not authentic and have been passed on by word of mouth by scholars with not very sound memories, thus theyr not to be relied upon. also, if you think about it logically, hte prophet never wasted his time giving us details about things we didnt need to know about. all we need to know is that dejaal will be a test for the believers who will be around near the time of the day of judgement. what good will it do us to know what he is? or how he looks like? non at all- it wnt affect our faith, it wont affect our belief n nore will it defrinciate between us goin into heaven or hell. So these are what i call 'non issues' that we dont really need to worry that much about. but basically, from what ive gathered from the quran, i myself think dejaal is a metaphorical term used to describe a big test that will be for the muslim ummah, similar to the 'jooj majooj (gog and magog?)' they have such wierd names! XD w.salaam
Wassalam .xXx.
