Letter to MCB

Thank you for the message. As always, we appreciate MCB's efforts  to keep

&gt; However we strongly  believe that this matter needs re-considering
&gt; seriously under the spot light of  education and research. The History of
&gt; Switzerland clearly indicates their  sensitivity regarding buildings,
&gt; their designs,
&gt; architecture and accuracy as  well as the space they fill. Swiss need to
&gt; be
&gt; educated about the importance of  the Minarets in Muslim history of
&gt; Mosques
&gt; but Muslims also need to understand that more  than a symbol, minarets
&gt; were
&gt; used for the echoing of the  sound of the  Adhan when there were no new
&gt; tech
&gt; systems available. What represents Muslims the  best is their character
&gt; and
&gt; conduct, not minarets.Hence we do not agree that we  should make
&gt; unnecessary
&gt; fuss about such superficial issues at these sensitive  times.
&gt; i would like to mention here that a delegate of 12 Swiss clergy  men and
&gt; other religious figures visited our recent Interfaith Week's stand in
&gt; Kingsway united Reformed Church Slough (photos attached from the
&gt; Exhibition Hall
&gt; Kingsway) and they were surprised at the diversity represented in the
&gt; Exhibition, saying that they have no such environment or resources
&gt; available in
&gt; Switzerland and they would love to go back and work on these lines. this
&gt; shows  the importance of involvement and dialogue rather than resistance
&gt; and
&gt; opposition.
&gt; However we are open to comments about this, both from the  teachers of the
&gt; foundation we mainly refer to( Al mawrid ) or other Islamic  Educational
&gt; centers.
