Hi, thanks very much for your replies [:)] I just can't seem to find logic in this matter, and I appreciate your intent to clarify it. hkhan, to answer your question: I do think that it is unjust that the baby did not get enough years in life to be tested, because he WILL be judged regardless right? To follow your analogy, it is like a student that does not get a chance to enter the examination hall. It would be unfair to fail this student, because it is not his fault that he could not perform the test. Similarly, it would be unfair to the other students that DID have to write the test that this student should pass, since he did not have to struggle with the examination the way that they did. This is why in this situation, the fair thing to do is to give the student a deferred exam. Does the baby get a test after death? How close in difficulty can such a test be to the many tests that we face in life? And if we can be tested outside of life, then what is the point of life and death? If the purpose of life and death is to test us, as the Qur'an states, and it is God who controls when we die, why would He choose to take away this soul's chance to be tested... and how can he then judge the soul without a test? I understand aboosait that there is a test in the baby's death for its parents and others around him. But the fact remains that this untested soul will be judged, which troubles me. Thank again for your explanations, I wish you well.
