Asalamu Alaykum In the referred 99th Chapter of the Quran, Surah Al-Zalzala, God is actually informing us about Doomsday when the stage of this world will end and the earth as we know it will be shook up and destroyed and then finally the court of the Almighty will be set up when He will raise all mankind and judge them. Rewarding or punishing them for the good or evil that they did in their lives. No amount of good or bad they did will go overlooked. The advent of this day will be so sudden that people then alive will not know what is happening: "And man says: What has befallen her?" This is something which we are informed about throughout the Quran that the life of this world is temporal and a trial. That this world will come to a violent end one day and God will resurrect all mankind to judge their deeds. "That day she will relate her chronicles For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration" What this means is that the earth will also bear as witness in the judgment of mankind and this will happen because God will make it so. It is upon this earth that our lives unfold and we undertake our deeds and the earth will show up the very "chronicles" of our deeds as final and binding evidence for our judgment. Best Regards.
