[quote]thnx/jk maher and nadya! I'm sure this will be more than enough for A. am posting tariq's response to this as well. (lots of prayers for you sr. maher re: your child's departure. may Allah give you peace n the best replacement and you will meet her in the Jannah/Paradise finally insh'Allah [:)] amen.) [green]Reply: I am afraid it wont be very easy to understand the nature of the problems this fellow faces regarding the Islamic beliefs for there are many elements which you may not be able to convey to others. What we can do is only present the Islamic stance on the issue. Is it possible that she shares her views with us and forwards the arguments she has in denial of the Islamic stance on these issues? I am sure she must be aware of the Qur’anic arguments, which prove that the Judgment day is sure to come. She must have some precise objections and concrete (to her) reason to reject the idea of the retribution. I would also like to request that we should being with the issue of the necessary attributes of the Almighty that is His being Just and Merciful- which this lady is rejecting by saying that the Hereafter is not going to happen. I do not think that you and other friend have not brought this to her notice that it is not worthy of a Wise and Just Being to just create man and leave them practice cruelty and then walk free. It is impossible for a wise being as God is to indulge in such playful activities. How do we see God then who is supposed to be Merciful but does not punish the culprits? Does this fellow not reproach those who confiscate her possessions or deprive her brothers or sisters or children of their life for example? I do not think she would. Would she not reward her children for example who behave as they should behave and reprimand those of them who do not behave? Does she consider a man deliberately colliding with her and her tripping over a deserve equal reward? There are other basic realities all of which have been presented by the divine Scriptures and many theologians also have shed light on the issue. I do not know what is her response to all these things. But I would suggest you to start from this basic point and continue the dialogue so that you come to a conclusion. Even if you are not successful you will be able to see the real problem and then we can discuss that. I do not think that refuting the ideas of this scholar would help. We only need to take her problems and deal with them independently. May Allah help you in your sincere efforts and bring fruit to it. Waiting for your response.
