Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
This is a reminder of ‘A Day to Remember’ on Tuesday 29th August, from 1pm-8pm at the Rex Centre, Coventry Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, Insha Allah.
The entry cost is £2 adult and £1 child (over 2 years)
This event will have something for everyone, with speakers in the main program including Azzam Tamimi, (Director of The Institute of Islamic Political Thought), Ustadh Shihab al Mahdawi, Mustafidh Ghani (Dublin Masjid) and Salma Yaqoob (Stop the War chair and Respect Councillor).
Khaleel Muhammad will be entertaining us with his beautiful nasheeds Insha Allah and there will be fun, interactive programs for the children.
In addition we have an extensive bazaar area, with stallholders from across the UK, and a wide variety of delicious food from around the world, cakes and sweets, etc.
The children’s area will include bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, card making, origami, jewellery making, science experiments, pin the tail on the donkey, computer games, bowling and more Insha Allah. Mendi (henna) artists will be there for women and children Insha Allah.
All money raised at this event will be donated to the Islamic Relief Middle East Charity Appeal Insha Allah. Please come along with all your friends and family, have an inspiring and Islamic day out, and help your brothers and sisters in Lebanon and Palestine, whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed. With your donations and presence, we pray their hope is not also destroyed. As Muslims, we have a duty to respond – we are One Ummah, One Body.
If you receive this message, please take a few minutes to email it to those you know and telephone those without email. With your help, we can make the event a success. Don’t worry if you can only come for a few hours or just in the evening, come and visit Insha Allah and your presence will be rewarded. |
