Faith on the Web

This is a good primer on Muslim faith, history,
geography and people. Much of the content comes
from two PBS documentaries, "Muslims" and
"Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet." Lesson plan
topics for youth include prejudice, civil and
women's rights, Islamic law and early Muslim
empires. The information is educational for
students of all ages, even adults, especially as
the Muslim population continues to grow and gain
influence in the West. Visual learners will want
to click the "Maps" link for a quick overview of
the changing demographics since 750.
