With The name of ALLAH, The Infinitely Merciful, The Ever Merciful. Assalam-u-allaikum ! (Peace / Safety be upon you )
Congratulations on coming to the true path of Islam . You should choose a Muslim name. The difference between Muslim names and most other religion names is that the Muslim names have a clear meaning ,e.g., my name "Asim (in Arabic)" means "Protector(in English)", while other religion names mostly don't have a clear meaning. You can check the meaning of the Muslim name before choosing a name. There are many web sites giving Muslim names with the meaning in English. On any search engine e.g. Yahoo, google etc.. type "Muslim names with meanings" and Insha-ALLAH the web sites will appear. Some names include:
  Abdullah Yusuf Ibrahim Harun
Here is a web site in which 5 converts have already changed their names : www.islamtomorrow.com/converts.asp I invite you to share your experience of conversion to Islam with the world on this web site. |
