ISLAM IN AUSTRALIA
HISTORY OF ISLAM IN AUSTRALIA
............Between 1981 and 1991 Muslims increased from 0.5 per cent to 0.9 per cent of the Australian population. The two largest groups, Catholics and Anglicans, still account for over 50 per cent of the population. Immigration has accounted for the vast majority of the growth of Muslims. The second reason for the growth is the higher fertility rate. In the 1986 Census, Muslims had the highest rate of marriage, the lowest rate of divorce, the lowest proportion of women with no children, and the lowest rate of religious intermarriage. Asalam Aalaikum,
Thanks for providing info about Australia,as far as i know Islam is spreading in Australia but the growth over there is not as fast the growth of Islam in North America and that is most probably because more muslims migrate to North America then to Australia and definitely this migration contributes to the population of muslims in North America.
What is the position of muslims in Australia at the moment ? Are they having problems when they apply for jobs there and do they have to face any kind of discrimination? |

discrimination is nothing but a challenge. think over it and you find there is no place in this world where it is not found.
discrimination sounds hopelessness
challenge gives you energy to do more than what you r doing. |
