contraception. as a state movement?
although contraception is acceptable within the limits of a family setup and should be left to the individual couple's suitability and health, however to run it as a movement at the level of the state it is entirely non democratic and illogical as well as unacceptable from the religious point of view. |

because we hv heard that sadly this movement has been announced on state level in pakistan. we also know that in countries like china women hv been prosecuted for this if they fail to show the surgical scar from sterilization on their body at certain check points. similarly in India Rs 50 (more now probably) is given as a reward to the women who go for sterilization. this is rediculous we hope'n pray that the govt of pak remains more sensible in this issue keeping in view the requisites of common sense and logic which is same as that of islam

On the whole, the article is informative in that it discusses several forms of contraception and the associated advantages and disadvantages, as well as risks associated with each.
What always bothers me is that whenever a society/government wants to impose forced contraception, it is usually in the form of female sterilization which has a greater negative impact on women in all regards. |

indeed; because islam encourages understanding, logic and decision based on god conciousness; force is not the answer to any problem--be it social matters, religious or political |
