Mother's Day-the woman who fears Lord...
i think we did hv this thread somwhere from a few years back but can't find it;some members approved mothers day celebration, some regarded it as an innovation.
last nite as we came out of the bayswater underground station to join a families dinner, a group of young chrsistians were attracting everyone by singing some hyms and giving out flyers while a middleaged man was calling people to the word of God-as he said; i picked a flyer to see wat was this all about; it read as:
Jesus the Messiah Ministry cordially invites you to
Mothers Day Celebration
at the Westbourne Park Baptist Church tomorrow
and then there was a quotation which touched me-
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised" (Proverb 31:30) |
