Really hungry?
once the beloved sws and his friends were having a sitting together where dates were served. while chatting everybody collected the dateseeds in front of Ali (may Allah b pleased with him) Mohammad sws smiled and said looks like Ali is really hungry and has been eating all the dates Ali replied promptly 'n politely yaeh! and the others hv been eating along with seeds, really really hungry (would appreciate the reference/authencity for the hadeeth from one of our dear islamic researchers)

thnx its surprising how certain incidents get so renowned as part of incidents of the Prophet's sws life without any ref. in history? this shows the importance of research work u people r doing to differentiate sunnan from just stories spread around and related to the beloved sws though its nothing serious in the above incidence but there may b issues with serious consequences re: forming part os shariah or not
however as the above incidence does not hv a bearing on rules of shariah or a serious ruling, i hv left it as such
