some peoms for you under 12's
two little girls
Two little girls playing in the sun one wore a scarf, the other wore none. "Why do you wear a scarf?" asked the one without, the other little girl said without a doubt "Allah loves me to cover my hair so that little boys won't stand and stare, when I grow up what I really want to be is a well dressed Muslim lady like my pretty Mummy."
Muhammed (saws)
What a year was 570 AD A person was born, a prophet to be Muhammed (saws) that was his name People were misguided and thats when he came He would go on to leave all the idols behind He is an example to all of mankind
Rabbi al Awwal the 12th, that was the day He came to this world to show us the way He was born in Mecca, the holiest place A life full of challenges he was to face Abdullah (ra) his father, had by then passed away Leaving Amina (ra) his mother, in her arms he lay
Haalima Sadia, took over his care Until he was six, our prophet was there His mother then died, he was left all alone Abdul Muttalib (ra) his grand-dad then made him his own When our prophet was nine, his grandfather died Abu Talib, his uncle, became his new guide
In his 20's, a merchant Muhammed (saws) became by trade Al-Amin, (the trustworthy) became his grade Hazrat Khadija (ra) aged 40, became his bride He was 25, with her by his side To the poor,she gave away all her wealth A dedicated wife in sickness and health
360 idols in the Kaaba, they were at that time Our prophet realised that this was a crime He would go to mount Hira,leaving behind his wife Reflecting and wondering about the meaning of life
While thinking there in the midst of the night He heard a loud voice which filled him with fright It was the angel Gibrail(as) who asked him to read Our prophet couldn't and didnt take heed The angel embraced him and then asked him later Read, Read in the name of the Creator Who created man from a drop of blood
Our prophet couldn't read but at that time he could Our prophet rushed to the path straight ahead He heard a voice from the heavens which said Muhammed (saws) truly you are the messenger of God Muhammed (saws) was scared and thought this quite odd 'Praise be to God' his wife said instead ''I know you've been chosen as God's messenger' she said And thus Khadija (ra) became the first woman of islam
And over the next 23 years came the revelation, the Quran He preached to all people, every creed every race Yet so many hardships he had to face There were fears for his life, then the Hijrat took place He then entered Medina, all by Allah's grace He was greeted by the Ansaris who gave their salaam To him and his companians,the Sahaba ikram
Then came the battles, which were fought face to face Then the conquest of Mecca, Muhammed (saws)'s birthplace An Nasr was revealed, it's message was clear Muhammed (saws) knew that his time was near Everyone gathered to hear his last speech little did they know how far Allah's message would reach
Muhammed (saws) gave us the miracle the Quran And now a 1/4 of the world follow Islam He is our role-model, the best of mankind And has left the Quran and his Sunnah behind
Read the Quran as much as you can The words of Allah (swt) for the guidance of man And follow our prophet's sunnah, when eating and dressing And send him salutations and many a blessing He came to mankind to show us the way And Insha-Allah, we'll meet him, we'll meet him one day
EATING HABBITS
Stop your Play, it's time to eat, Come wash your hands and take a seat Before you start though, bring to mind, The mercy of Allah who is so kind.
So begin in the name of Allah, By always saying Bismillah, Don't dish out more than you can eat, For Muslims shouldn't over eat.
And one thing you must understand, It's good to eat with your right hand, Never stuff your mouth with food, That would surely be most rude.
Take your time and chew quite well, Pick up morsels in case it fell, Eat your food and leave no waste, There's no need to eat in haste.
Drink your tea and slip slow, You don't have to gulp you know, When you've finished thank Allah,
Good Deeds Allah loves children who cares for others, who do deeds of kindness to sisters and brothers;
like lending a hand to somebody hurt, like smiling at him and saying a kind word;
like happily sharing with girls and with boys one's favorite things like books and like toys;
like sending flowers to somebody ill; a visit to him would be nicer still.
There are many things we can do for each other, to make life happy for our sister and brother.

****************** MY BELOVED ******************
There was a time in my youth, When Islam was only a custom. They said "say La IIaha IIIa Allah,.. And pray, you'll go to Heaven." ****************************************************
Ah, how simple, no struggle in this, Just a word, and simple act. Thereafter I'm absorbed in this world again, With my 'assured' place in Paradise intact. *****************************************************
But this was not to be my fate For ALLAH chose to guide my heart. I learnt of a man who struggled so hard When his mission was from the start.
******************************************************
The story of someone who had morals, Spoke gently, kindness he knew. Never fearing to say what's right, His conviction in ISLAM was true. ******************************************************
The touch of his hand was as soft as silk To comfort a crying child. To mend his clothes, or do the chores, Never complaining, he always smiled. ******************************************************
A living he made with his bare hands, The same that held his mighty sword. Valour shone from the edge of his blade, ******************************************************
His smell was always of musk, And cleanliness he kept at his best. Stark contrast with the heroes of today, Who stink of beer and sweat. ******************************************************
He held the hands of his companions. Unashamed to play with many children. So modest, so humble, a perfect example, That strangers could not recognise him. ******************************************************
His eyes slept little for nights were precious, His prayers he treasured much greater. To pray Tahajjud in the depths of night, Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator. ******************************************************
He broke his tooth for me at Uhud, And bled for me at Ta'if. He cried for me, tears of concern, Just so I could have this belief. ******************************************************
His enemies admired his teachings, Uniting every religion, every clan. Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world, O, but indeed he was only a man. ******************************************************
To own a house, or build his wealth Was not his main priority. To establish ISLAM was more essential, To bring us under a Higher Authority. ******************************************************
Don't you want him to plea for your case, When before ALLAH-The Judge-you stand? Don't you wish to be around his fountain, A burning desire to drink from his hand? ******************************************************
So I love him more than all creation, My Leader, my Humble Prophet. Muhammad (SAWS) was a mercy to all mankind, And to me, he is ************ MY BELOVED ! |

This is another poem: For all of the proud muslim girls,
I am a special person
I’ll tell you why
I honor myself with pride
I wear something on my head
Some people might think I’m bald
Some people might think I’m wearing a cloth
But all I’m doing is preserving my dignity
Along with my beauty
I stand tall, even with the eyes staring or the
Whispers when I walk by
No matter what
I stand tall with pride and honor
As a Muslim girl |
