Ibrahim/Abraham peace be upon him
The birth of a Great Prophet
Ibrahim was born in a house of idolaters, in the kingdom of Babylon. His father Aazar was a well known idol sculptor that his people worshipped. As a young child, Ibrahim used to watch his father sculpting these idols from stones or wood. When his father was done with them, Ibrahim would use them as toys, riding on their backs, and kicking them at times. Then after a while, he would see these same statues in the temple, and people prostrating in front of them! Ibrahim asked his father: "Why do you take these toys to the temple?" His father said: "They are statues that represent our gods. We worship them, we ask favors from them, and we offer them presents." Ibrahim's mind rejected this idea, and he felt a repulsion towards the idols.

This proves that Prophets were human beings like us, but used their minds and common sense. This is how they found the truth and God supported them in this journey. Afterwards they were given special positions and duties according to the circumstances and times they lived in. They were then the chosen ones and special missions were given to them by Allah. Prophet Muhammad SAW was the last of the chain of the Prophets. After that, media and communication had reached such a stage that the final book Quran and the teachings of the prophets were left for the guidance of humanity. In this time and age we have to use our minds and common sense. God willing we will find the right path with the help of these and by following the final book of God and the teachings of the prophets. XxbasxX
