Capacity Building for Mosques and Imams
The Mosque and Community Affairs committee of the MCB will be holding a one day seminar on Capacity Building for Mosques and Imams in the UK on Sunday 20 May.
“The MCB is determined to increase awareness of the contribution of masajid and imams and to build their capacity so that they can improve on their existing work and better serve the community. While there is much scope for improvement and development in our mosques, there are also excellent local examples of good practice that can be emulated more widely. This will lead to an improvement of standards and also increase awareness of the positive role of masajid in society. We also have to face challenges to make masajid more inclusive, particularly for women and young persons”, said Dr Manazir Ahsan, committee chair.
The seminar will be held on Sunday 20 May beginning at 10.30am at Preston Business Centre, Bhailok Square, Watling Street Road, Fulwood, Preston PR2 8DY.
