Meeting

Alhamdulillah it was great

Studying Islam and Understanding Islam team members and websites members were present. Besides there were some friends of team members as well who attended on special invitation for introduction.

The UIUK president Abdullah Rahim elaborated the objectives of Understanding Islam, Studying Islam and Renaissance as a team under the umberella of Almawrid i.e. to propagate Isam in its purest and original form from the original sources i.e. Qura'n and the Prophet's Sunnah mentioning how misunderstandings develop when we mix up the Sunnah with Hadith. He explained the difference between Sunnah and Hadith with clear examples. He also elaborated the importance of understanding the difference between obligatory and nonobligatory practices.

He answered the questions from the audience about the relevant topic and others which included the preaching to non muslims about which one of the convert sisters in the meeting was very keen. It continued into an interactive discussion among the members in a friendly environment

Abdullah Rahim explained via visual demonstrations how a human mind could appraise artificial boundaries and how important it was to ignore these self imagined limitations and approach the Whole rather than pieces, in order to reach the Truth.

He highly appreciated the Studying Islam free on line courses with available online moderators to help through understanding this most beautiful Message so clearly in a simple and organized way with online tests; all from the original sources i.e. Qura'n and Sunnah. He said all members must utilize this unique opportunity and share with friends and family.

Dr. Henna Khan, UK Chapter Rep of Studying Islam mentioned the Communities project on Stuidying Islam

'Connecting Humanity' aims at connecting together people of various walks of life to serve their human, professional and social needs. The basic idea behind its inception is to promote co-operation and sympathy in the progeny of Adam. The human race is one big family, and as family members, we need to care for one another. If we are able to humbly contribute in any way, to create a global community which, irrespective of religion, caste and background, is able to show compassion and goodwill for one another, we would consider our job done."

as a reply to a sister's concern regarding appoaching all people regardless of religion, cast or creed.

She also mentioned the Interfaith Dialogue Forum on Studying Islam for this purpose.

Br.Adullh Rahim reminded the members "When we all said Yes" to alasta berabbekum. and what are the oblgations after that.

He explained that the whole concept of Islam revolved around the Purity, the Purity of the Heart, which is indeed very difficult to achieve and the key was to check oneself frequently in isolation (ieteka'f, even if for a few minutes)

The members were invited to join us in the efforts for propagating this most Truthful Message.

Salahs in jama' and lunch together gave further opportunity to the members to know eachother and understand the objectives while talking to the team members present.

Written Information about the Studying Islam and Understanding Islam Work as well as free copies of Monthly Renaissance were available to the audience.

allahumma allif baina quloobana wa asleh zaata bainana
may Allah join our hearts ogether and make us source of islah/grooming for eachother amen

Surely a bit of communication with other members in Pakistan and interaction with your area rep. of Studying Islam would bring out options and suggestions for such meetings insh'Allah; even if once a year or biannual would be fruitful.

We plan on similar lines. However the people who cannot afford to, can contact eachother online.

Our Communies/Connecting Humanity section is also a part of this endeavour.

SI is definitely working toward realising the goal of an effective virtual university for Islamic Sciences. On a small scale, it is already involved in Online Islamic Education. With the passage of time, things insha Allah will improve.
