about du'a


Assalamu Alaikum,

Is it permitted in islam to ask a spiritual leader to make a Du'a for me or anyone else?

Wa 'Alaikum-us-Salaam Dear sister in Islam
Yes, it is Permitted in Islam to REQUEST anyone; Parents, Husband, Kids, Friends, Teachers etc. for a Du'a.
BUT never forget that the PERSON shoul be ALIVE & NOT DEAD as some of our ignorant Brothers & Sisters go to the Graveyard OR to the SHRINE/TOMB of a Spiritual Leader etc. & instead Praying for THEM they start asking them for DU'As for themselves.
