Exhibition by Renaissance Readers Club

Renaissance Readers Club has launched a 3 weeks Exhibition
at Slough Central Library 1st Floor in the Royal County of Berkshire UK
from 15th Aug'05 through 03rd Sep'05during normal Library hours.

The objectives of Renaissance include carrying out of research into the faiths and beliefs prevailing among communities and to bring the results to the public in order to wipe out unnecessary differences and concentrate on the commonalities among the beliefs as a strong reason to live together in unity and peace.

Renaissance Club believes in purification of the society as a whole and younger generation in particular from the evil concepts of violence and terrorism in the name of the religion. It therefore works on projects which clarify the stance of religion on peaceful coexistence and tolerance.

assalamu alaykum (peace)

Renaissance Readers Club UK is a registered charity oganization set up by a handful of peace loving professionals here who wish to propagate the true picture of Islam from its original sources and strive for the good of humanity by the propagation of peace and serenity among the communities.
The club has chosen the literature available from the Al Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences (www.al-mawrid.org) and its affiliated like Studying
Islam (www.studying-islam.org), Renaissance(www.monthly-renaissance.com) and Understanding Islam (www.understanding-islam.org) for this purpose as it believes that their information is based on the original sources of Islam: Qura'n & Sunnah and is free from the poison of sectarianism.

It is a great experience and a very good way of propagating the true stance of Islam I think, on various issues specially the misunderstood ones , at the top of which comes the economic directives of Islam and then others like the penal shari'ah, jihad, women's issues like polygamy and forced marriages, social shariah,relationship with non-Muslims, information on other religions and faiths and many others; because lack of communication is a big hurdle in the propagation of peace and serenity among different communities which are apparently living together. The exhibition has specified the availability of online education in the form of free courses, the query services specifically of Studying Islam, Renaissance and Understanding Islam and the forums available for Communities, women & young people as well as for interfaith dialogue ;
also the courses and forums available in urdu language.

Besides books and our Urdu and English journals like monthly Renaissance, Ishraq, Suay haram, Al-Mawrid Newsletter, the audio-visual material and websites of our various projects and sister organizations are displayed here.

Such exhibitions do not take much energy and time as most library managements are cooperative and happy to support; so much so that even the organizors' presence is not required all the time and visitors can visit during the normal library hours. Its just the matter of planning and booking in ample time, some finances for the material and of course prayers

you said……… Studying Islam (www.studying-islam.org), Renaissance (www.monthly-renaissance.com) and Understanding Islam (www.understanding-islam.org) for this purpose as it believes that their information is based on the original sources of Islam: Qura'n & Sunnah and is free from the poison of sectarianism.

i have visited many islamic websites. but found not much the poison of sectarianism as found here at studying-islam.org, renaisansca com and understanding-islam.org. Even the scholars are ready to call others disbelievers/kafirs (for nothing) directly or by the sophisticated tricks. so your statement is based only on the self recommendation.

yu should refrain from the self admire.

The Exhibition continues peacefully into it's 3rd week alhamdulillah. The Library has selected and placed our journals and some books for loaning out on regular basis whilst our websites have already been added to the library intranet.

However as we said this effort is just like a drop in a sea. We strongly believe that the prosperity of Muslim ummah lies in their education and understanding of the true stance of Islam from it's original sources and sharing with those around us as this Good has been revealed for the whole humanity;

A Good Idea is Best Shared

while discouraging the evil concepts of violence and terrorism in the name of the religion.

Ofcourse our admiration and prayers remain for those scholars of ours who have dedicated their careers and their lives for this purpose and are, no doubt, our national and international heroes

We recommend that the member having complaints cites examples which show that our sites have sectarianism; and also where our scholars have called other people as kaafir.

Besides, everyone is free to choose alternative sites and resources that they feel are better in providing the requisites because we try to share the best we have to offer

actually these are the ppls who are cutting the roots of islam and are defaming the muslims. refrain from admiring them. they are worth condemning not admiring…… donot degrade the heroes by taking the names of such muslims.

I donot understand what makes you think that the work of studying-islam.org and Understanding-Islam.org are based on secterian point of views? Which of their work do you find secterian?

Can you please start a new thread by the title "Complain" and post your questions there with references so that the moderators of this forum could present their answers explicitly?

According to my understanding and knowledge ,I donot think that their works and studies are secterian ,since I donot find them supporting any perticular school of thought(Mazhab) or any religious political party.

I donot completely agree with them but I know one thing that their explanation of Islam is based on their understanding of Qur'an and Sunnah of Prophet(pbuh).

Asalam Aalaikum,

One more thing that I would like to add is that if the works of the members of this site were secterian then they would not have tolerated the criticisms on them by secterian groups.

One of the great quality that I have noticed in the Scholars of these sites is that they donot hate any religious group neither present their explanation of Islam with 100% sureity, but instead keep themselves open to others opposing views and invite others to present their views if they think that their views are based on more sound arguments and evidences.

Have you seen any secterian Islamic site that has this quality?

Regards,
aslam
