Very simply: every war helps the Right. War, by its very nature, arouses in the population the most primitive emotions – hate and fear, fear and hate. These are the emotions on which the Right has been riding for centuries. Even when it’s the "Left" that starts a war, it’s still the Right that profits from it. In a state of war, the population prefers an honest-to-goodness Rightist to a phony Leftist.

I have just come across the Poem sent by a Rabbi Lady for the children of Gaza and these are my comments about it.
Wonderful!This is what we need to bridge the gaps. To bring the facts to the community. The non-Zionist Jews are completely against the violent Israili policies including the occupation.Muslim scholars must endeavour to communicate with them and share the commonalities of Abrahimic religions. None of the Muslim Scholars can complete their work today without engaging in interfaith activities. It will be like disguising oneself or closing one's eyes from a great responsibility.If they cannot find time to do it themselves, they must communicate, educate & train and associate with the willing people who can, instead of discouraging them.This is how our communities at both ends can be educated and we hope that the oppression of Palestinians and others in the world can come to an end. |
