Can we communicate with Allah?????

Assalamualikum!I wantd to ask u guyz a very important question....
"Can we actually communicate with Allah?" Cuz' mu old Qarey Sahib told me that u can... and i tried wat he told me to do... i sat quitely with my eyes closed in a dark room and asked a question in my brain and (it was a very long time ago) i dunno if i got the answer immidiately or not... nut i got the answer... and that thing it turned out afterwards was positive...
plz could somebody explain?..... Cuz' i'm not entirely sure it was Allah who replied... maybe i knew the answer and i hadn't thought of it.. but that time when i asked myself and pondered it came out... or maybe it REALLY was Allah!

Assalaamu-Alaykum!

Imams are usually more knowledgeable than ordinary Muslims, yet they too can make mistakes.

Can your Imam give any proof for his theory, such as a Hadith, a Quranic Verse, or a saying of one of the Prophets, the Companions, the Successors, etc.?

Ma'assalaamu-Alaykum!
