fathers not required anymore?

there was a discussion on bbc 4 day before that perhaps man won't be reqd inthe process of reproduction anymore as scientists have been able to create human sperm

apparently, the leading stem cell biologist is a Muslim, Professor Karim Nayernia~who has been successful in this venture in UK.

would be interesting to know what our sisters think about this where already single mothers, lesbian and gay couples are bringing up children without fathers

I for one do not one percent agree on all this , they can do away with fathers today astaghfirullah and then mothers tomorrow and all humans will be expected to nurture themselves and grow themslves on a liquid or whatsoever feed ....... crazy scientists and crazy good for nothing inventions.

Although I can see where this could be beneficial for men who have lost their fertility, I am concerned that it will be carried to extremes as was mentioned in a previous post. It should not be seen as an alternative to Allah's design for the family: a mother, a father and children. We see enough trouble due to the disintegration of the family unit without creating the means to decimate it even further.

although marriage and family unit has been a design always upheld by all decent societies and coincide with the teachings of the prophets, peace be upon all of them, but it does worry us when some of the present day honorable reverends & priests insist that this family unit was a suggestion for the times of the past and it could be replaced by modern dayz setups where mother, father & mariage can be done without.

Excess of any thing is bad. Crossing certain limits to gain something apparently seeming harmless will result in major loss in the long run.

why is every super market stocked up with organically grown food that is much dearer than the other non organic one, had it been the same price, i think every one will choose organic, why? Its no good for health research has proved as its not grown Naturally.

staying close to nature is a better option in every aspect of our lives. Choosing the middle path and not going to extremes is the key to our success.

Sensational News!
quote:

"A laser was used to separate and isolate the male stem cells and they were then grown in a dish. Researchers saw the cells split and divide, then eventually push out a tail and head and begin to move.

These were shown to produce fully mature, functional sperm, they say.

Professor Nayernia said the work was in its early stages and more investigation was needed to decide whether such sperm would be safe or suitable as a fertility treatment"
Produce would have been the appropriate word rather than create.

and since the economical crunch, as the social care services (like elderly care, disability care, child care etc)find it difficult to survive on easier terms, the importance of a traditional family unit based on marriage, mother, father and children is highlighting itself more imperatively than ever before
