as per my field of speciality, an epileptic mother should not b allowed to bathe alone.
niether shud she bathe her baby on her own;
even while breast feeding her baby, she shud b accompanied
hope that helps re: similar situations as and wen.

Assalamo Alaikum,
Provided that there is a secure privacy, bathing nude does not seem to be a sin but those who say our sitting/standing, eating/drinking, sleeping/waking, working/resting, life/death etc are for God, they avoid bathing nude. |

I think that the whole subject is a question of modesty. Allah, ta`ala, commands the Believers(men and women) to guard there modesty and not expose their private parts. When we shower or bath, noone is supposed to be around you anyways! Now in some cultures people are taught that you are not supposed to nude at anytime. If someone chooses to follow this teaching that was brought about by MAN'S understanding, that is fine. You may even find some that will find a particular Hadith to claim that this Companion or the other said that it should be that way. The truth of the matter, though, is that Allah in His Infinite Wisdom never imposed this particular hardship upon the Believers. Allah, ta`ala, said that He imposed no difficulty on us in His Religion. We as Muslims and sincere seekers of the Truth need to learn to distinguish from Islamic precepts and cultural trends so that we will not argue about mundane things and concentrate on how best we can serve our Creator and our Ummah. |
